Fertility, Infertility and IVF Counselling
The path of fertility, infertility, IVF, and reproductive trauma can be a very challenging, isolating, and confusing one. It can feel like a whirlwind of emotions: hope, excitement, disappointment, anger, loss, grief. Although lots of individuals and couples will experience difficulties around getting pregnant, it can still be a very lonely and isolating journey.
Working with individuals who are experiencing fertility challenges or going through IVF, my goal is to help you feel less alone on this path.
I aim to provide you with a non-judgemental space in which you can express all your feelings: doubt, hope, fear, frustration, anger.
We may explore coping strategies, such as nervous system regulation tools, relaxation techniques, and boundary setting. We might discuss how best to manage your work-life while going through the IVF process and reproductive trauma. We might explore how to navigate social engagements and triggering situations, or how to manage pressure from family and friends. We might look at the impact IVF and infertility are having on your relationship, and the financial pressures that come with it. We may discuss the stress of injections and medications, and the impact on hormones, body, heart and mind.
We will certainly explore your hopes and dreams for the future, and your paths towards them. Whatever else you are experiencing, know that you are not alone - help is out there - and that the seeds you plant today will give fruit in your future.
